Wind turbines harness the natural power of the wind to generate electricity. The ideal solution is to capture more of the wind as it passes through the blades. Current three-blade wind turbines operate at around 20% efficiency. There is, however, a new design, which allows very little wind to pass between the blades, making it possible to operate at much higher efficiency. Likewise, the self-adjusting generator maximizes torque usage by automatically regulating RPM based on prevalent wind speed. By intelligently monitoring and metering variable backflow resistance from generator load, the Wind Sail Receptor is able to maximize energy output in virtually all wind conditions.
